Nicholas Langdon excels on double single release for "Show Me" & "She Wants Somebody Else"

Serving up not one, but two fantastic new tracks is Nicholas Langdon with the fresh release of “Show Me” and “She Wants Somebody Else”. Please keep reading for a closer look at the songs, as well as a much needed background on this artist.

When it comes to quality music, we’ll always stand by the statement that more is better. In this case though, Nicholas Langdon has just given the world two sonically different yet poignantly unique songs that he’s titled “Show Me” and “She Wants Somebody Else”. Both show off his artistic abilities and honestly give a perfect introduction for all those listeners who are just discovering him for the first time. Without a doubt, we can’t wait for everyone to give them a spin.

To begin, Nicholas has taken separate approaches to each of these songs in their genre, yet somehow let you know that it’s still coming from one artist. You can definitely attribute that to his signature vocal style and cadence, but similar productions have proved that he’s completing his vision. For instance, “Show Me” has a soundscape that envelopes the listener in an upbeat indie pop track that lyrically covers ground of “calling out for help whilst in a dark place and looking to someone else to help show you the reasons why life is still worth living”. We love that he juxtaposed a brighter sound with slightly melancholy lyrics, because for us it shows just how well rounded of a song it really is.

On the other hand, “She Want Somebody Else” still has that indie rock feel to it, but the spacey and almost dreamlike elements he’s infused in border on dream pop and shoegaze, two genres that we feel are making a comeback. The lyrics are quite straightforward in that it’s about not really fitting the expectations of your partner, or at least getting the impression you aren’t. Though each song are different in nature, we’ve already found that there’s a time and a place for both. Nicholas’ nostalgic sound is one we weren’t expecting, but the way that he alludes to decades past was a major highlight in our multiple listens.

Not to spoil much else, but it shouldn’t come as a surprise that we’re highly recommending you give both a listen! To do so, please check out the links below, in addition to following him on his social media.
