New Music Friday - Week of 5/2/20 to 5/8/20

What a time for new music, especially when a majority of us have never had this much free time in our life to really dig into the massive amount of new singles, albums, EP’s, and more that nearly every artist of our generation seems to be putting out at this point.

One of the best parts of this global quarantine (one of the few pluses) has been the onslaught of not only pre-planned releases, but the massive increase of live albums, covers, and unplanned tracks coming from holed-up artists looking to pay their bills. As unfortunate as it will be to live in a world without concerts (for the time being), we’re super excited at the rate of content being released. Rant over.

Let’s focus on the music for now. Some of our favorite album releases from this week’s New Music Friday are coming directly from master shredders White Denim, an all acoustic “Unshelved” series from The Kooks, and a return from the Kings of Funk, Lettuce.

We were also massively surprised at the impeccable singles released this week! Our list includes genres from all over, but we’re mainly focused on the creativity that came through from The Growlers, Rhye, Woods, and up-and-comers, Buffalo Buffalo Buffalo. While these may just be the highlights, we know you’ve got the time to listen to the whole list, so what are you waiting for, get in there!

Here’s our must-listen list from 5/2/2020 to 5/8/2020...Enjoy!
