Naytiive effortlessly blends genres on danceable track, "Poison"

Infusing a wide variety of styles and genres into the mix, Naytiive has nailed it once again with the fresh release of his newest single, “Poison”. Keep reading for an in-depth look into the track, in addition to a background on the artist.

Based out of the United Kingdom, Naytiive is bringing an eclectic blend of new wave, funk, pop, and endless grooves into the musical situation. On his newest single “Poison”, that fact remains true as you’re immediately hit with a wave of good vibes, dynamic vocals, and a compelling instrumentation. Serving as only their third official single release so far, it fits flawlessly in their growing discography, and we cannot wait to see how they evolve over time. In the meantime, we’re recommending everyone take the time to give this a spin.

With influences ranging from Bruno Mars to Parcels to Prince, it’s no wonder the sonic mix of this sound is so varied. Through just a tad over four minutes in complete runtime, Naytiive sets the tone immediately, letting the listener know that they’re in for a great time. While the song is certainly rooted in pop, it really does elevate itself with a ton of major production effects adding to the overall allure. Not to mention that the rhythm section is pulling so much weight in creating that much needed groove aspect. However, something that stood out right from the beginning was how well the vocals managed to become the constant of the song, single handedly responsible for the rises and falls of the emotion. You hang on every word, at the whim of the massive changes in highs and lows. As our attention spans have basically disappeared nowadays, this had our collective interests piqued throughout the whole listen.

The real kicker of it all is that as we mentioned, this is just Naytiive’s third single ever, with the first dating back to 2020. This is the type of sound that we adore as he takes things to the next level in terms of inspiration and originality. We’re nearing the end of 2022, but our hopes are high for much more releasing in the new year. As we wait, let us direct you to those links below to listen, follow along, and of course to stay up to date for more news.
