Making their return into 2022 with an absolute rocker called “Color of Time”, we’re totally loving Minai’s latest. Read on for our full review of the track, as well as a much needed background on the band.
Based out of Istanbul, Turkey, this power trio of talented musicians go by the name of Minai. Having just released their newest song “Color of Time”, which is actually the lead single off of their upcoming EP Love Has A Bitter Taste, we can safely say that listeners everywhere are going to thoroughly enjoy this once they give it a spin. If this is your introduction to the band like it was for us, prepare to be impressed with what they’re delivering.
Self-described as the “sounds the universe makes while it recreates itself when we truly love someone”, we promise it’ll all make sense after you first taste of “Color of Time”. Leading the charge with a set of absolutely dynamic vocals from start to finish, they’ve complemented the track with a heavy yet approachable instrumentation for music lovers across the spectrum. Paired with a music video that brings such a cinematic feel to it all, your listening experience wouldn’t be complete without a view. Don’t worry though, we’ve included the link to check it out below.
Influenced by so many of today’s modern greats, they’re still bringing a very original essence to it all, and it has us quite excited to see how they follow it up with the full EP. If anything, it’s given us the sincere urge to check out the rest of their discography as we’re sure there’s plenty of gems to be uncovered. There seems to be a real burgeoning rock and roll scene coming out of Turkey at the moment and so we’re not surprised to see that Minai are leading the charge in switching things up for the better. The rock genre as a whole has become so difficult to innovate in, but there really is a special feeling that “Color of Time” holds. You can feel the originality bursting through and an immense passion through the vocals. Surely the band’s music would translate well in a live setting and we hope to be able to witness it someday soon!
In the meantime, please do yourselves a huge favor and check out the links below to listen, follow along, and of course to stay up to date for all further information.
