Michael Wilford & Elijah Quinn collaborate on stellar single, "Esraela"
Playing the role of puppet master in the background of his fantastic new single “Esraela”, Michael Wilford has ultimately delivered something stellar from start to finish. Read on for our positive review of the track, as well as a background on this emerging artist.
Coming from songwriter and drummer Michael Wilford, his latest musical endeavor “Esraela” is a collaboration single featuring a vocalist by the name of Elijah Quinn. With Michael crafting the message around this “timeless love story in a modern setting”, the two have come together sonically for a striking rock track that has surpassed our wildest expectations. Considering this was our introduction to the artist, he’s left us with no choice but to overwhelmingly recommend a listen.
Converging the sounds and styles of Brit Rock, Blues, and a dash of Modern Pop, the song is jam-packed with instrumental motifs that seem endless. We’re not sure what it is, but whenever a drummer is the one creating it all, the song structure always turns out better than most songs in the genre. Pair that with killer vocals from Elijah and top tier songwriting skills, that’s the recipe for a song and an artist that we’ll undoubtedly be making our way back to. Considering this appears to be Michael’s third single overall, and first of 2022, here’s to hoping that plenty more is on the way soon enough.
There’s about 100 things we could point out about “Esraela” that we enjoyed, but something that might fly under the radar is the confidence that the song exudes. You’re listening to an artist operate at the highest level and you instantly envision the both of them having the time of their lives putting it all together. There’s a magic that comes through and it can’t be taught or learned, it’s just there. We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to check out his other released songs, but obviously the priority for now is to hit the play button on the latest as soon as you can.
