Maya Isacowitz professes her love on single, "Nature Is My Hood"
Freshly released on November 26th, 2021, Maya Isacowitz is ending her year on a positive note with her all new single, “Nature Is My Hood”. We’re loving it! Read on for our full featured review of the track, as well as a background on the artist.
Originally from Israel, Maya Isacowitz is crafting together an eclectic mix of electronic pop music that is equal parts soulful and innovative. Her latest single “Nature Is My Hood” is a love song directly to one of her favorite things, nature. Featuring stunning production and Maya’s always heartfelt vocals, we couldn’t help but immediately vibe with her latest. Needless to say, you’re going to love this one.
After initially making a name for herself with her guitar and vulnerable voice, she’s been consistently getting bigger and better over the years. In fact, she was named “Best New Artist” in Israel back in 2012. Since then she’s released a debut album and hopefully has plans to keep these single releases extremely consistent. We’ve loved what we’ve heard and truly are going to be thrilled when more comes out, hopefully in the new year.
So much of what we loved about “Nature Is My Hood” was Maya’s wide variety of genres implemented. While her vocals definitely stayed on the soulful and meaningful side of things, the production and electronic instrumentation provided the pulse that the song really needed. While everything continued to stay quite interesting in the background, the song still centered around her vocals that gave a much needed consistency. As a package though, this is one of the more well rounded songs we’ve heard in regards to balance and atmosphere.
From start to finish though, Maya had us focused on her lyricism too. It’s really not too often that a track professes its love for nature, however that just means there should be more because the subject matter is quite underrated. Truly, we can’t wait for everyone who’s not familiar with Maya’s music to get listening as soon as they can. You might as well check out the rest of her hits too!
