Marc Dorian channels a vintage sound on record, "Another Lucky Day"
Made available to download and listen on the artist’s website, Marc Dorian’s latest record Another Lucky Day is 100% worth the effort to check out. Please read along with us as we share our complete thoughts on the album, as well as a background on the artist as well.
As a full time piano player, keyboardist, singer, and songwriter, Marc Dorian is incorporating some of the music’s best genres into his brand of music. With glimmers of rock, country, and blues, this Nova Scotia-born artist is bringing the rock back into Detroit with an impressive output on his newest record, Another Lucky Day.
Coming in at 10 total tracks spanning the record, Marc truly shows off his impeccable multi-instrumentalist talents here. At the helm playing piano, organ, Wurlitzer piano, Rhodes piano, singing, and harmonizing, it’s basically a one man show. As if that wasn’t impressive enough, he’s featured a supporting cast that brought the album from good to great. There’s a real organic feel that comes through here, but at the same time, the passion and joy is at the forefront.
Now with there being a handful of genres featured here, it could come off as being jumbled up and difficult for the artist to find a path. We were concerned when we hopped in, but the complete opposite happened, it turned out to be a wonderful melting pot of sound that put serious smiles on our faces. Filled with creative instrumentation, a top notch production, and a positive message, we can’t help but overwhelmingly recommend a listen to Another Lucky Day.
