Left Of The Slash preview "With Patience Along" off upcoming debut LP
As Left Of The Slash’s debut album comes looming right around the corner, the band has just let loose another ripper of a single titled “With Patience Along”. No surprises here, but it’s delivered big! Read on for our full review, as well as a refresher on the band as well.
Loud, aggressive, and filled to the brim with impressive riff after riff, Left Of The Slash have another screaming winner on their hands. “With Patience Along” has so perfectly bordered that line of nostalgic and modern rock for us, but in a way that it’s filled with unbridled energy. Every month that the band has put out another song has been a treat, but in this case, old and new fans are eating big in December.
On the background of the track, front man Stephen Reid Nemeroff explains, “With Patience Along is the first full song that I wrote and arranged around 2003. To give you an idea of how long ago that was, we made a demo of the song and used it on MySpace and Craigslist to find our drummer at the time, Jay Flash.” Without knowing that background, it completely explains that synergistic sound of the “old” and new. With an updated production and a newer take on the track, it was well worth the wait to have this one finally see the light of day.
As mentioned, after many months of reviewing their every single, the debut record is so close to its release. Although we don’t think there will be too many surprises in terms of unreleased music that’s come out over 2021, it’s not completely out of the question. The best move for any new listener though would be to go through their existing discography to fully familiarize yourselves before the big day comes. So much of what we’ve loved are the drastic sound changes from song to song, and “With Patience Along” is no different in that regard.
