2025 Las Vegas Residencies show Sin City remains a landing spot for Artists
It wasn’t too long ago that playing Las Vegas for an extended stint of shows was seen as something once big-name musicians would only accept if they were bowing out or already removed from the industry. Despite the allure of the city and how it’s viewed, playing Sin City wasn’t a big deal for artists, and the venues that would host these mostly has-beens would use them more just to attract more players to the casino floors.
Now, it’s more a badge of honor to be offered a residency on The Strip. Throughout the year, not only will headlines be made announcing the latest arrangements for performers to take to Las Vegas, but the caliber and global fame of those names being announced are consistently high. Now, with some of 2025’s slate already announced, it’s clear that Sin City remains a hugely desirable city for artists to set up shop in today.
Las Vegas has loudly hailed itself as the entertainment capital of the world for decades, building colossal hotels, casinos, and mimicking landmarks from around the world to make it unlike any other place in the world. The city is now essentially the brand of big-time entertainment, which is why so many businesses in similar industries like to draw from the name and iconography of Sin City.
Just looking at the range of popular online slots and casino jackpot games, you’ll find Bruno’s Vegas Gold Blitz, Vegas Diamonds, Big Bass Vegas Double Down Deluxe, and the very in-theme Playboy Fortunes King Millions. It’s a city made famous for going all-in on entertainment, which is why it might surprise some that it took until very recently for musicians to see the stages of Las Vegas as being ones of merit.
It wasn’t until the turn of the millennium that this sentiment changed, and that was all down to Celine Dion’s iconic A New Day… 2003 to 2007 residency. She upped the ante significantly, making her shows must-see attractions on The Strip just as much as anything else standing among the towering hotels and casinos. Now, with the template set for how prestigious a Vegas residency can be, artists around the world want in on the action.
In 2025, The Strip will be teeming with music stars of the past and present. In October, one of the most iconic bands of their generation joined the list, with Mötley Crüe playing 11 shows at Dolby Live and Park MGM from March next year. Citing for their well-known combination of extravagance and decadence, the band is perfect to return to Vegas for another residency on what’s already a stacked slate.
In the run to Mötley Crüe’s arrival, there’ll be Lionel Richie at Encore Theater, Rod Stewart at The Colosseum, Pitbull at BleauLive Theater, Mariah Carey at Dolby Live, and the Black Eyed Peas with their 3008 futuristic show at PH Live. Kicking off the New Year will be one of the biggest rap artists in the world: 50 Cent. Having grossed a cool $100 million on tour, he’ll be coming to PH Live just before BEP arrives with his ‘In Da Club’ residency.
A Las Vegas residency is now coveted by artists around the world, and if the opening acts for 2025 are anything to go by, it’s going to be a great year for music lovers to visit The Strip.
