Ahead of their newest album, Make Me Feel, Keenwild have released their lead single and title track for the record, “Make Me Feel”. Read along with us as we dig deep into this special release, in addition to a refresher on the band.

We’d love to start off this review and let you know that this isn’t a typical review of a normal song that we do, in fact, this is something quite special! You may remember we reviewed Keenwild last month, well now the band is back with a unique audio and visual project that features decadent art paired with new music. What could be better?

To begin, Keenwild’s Jeney let us know, “This is a unique, one of a kind project blending visual art and sound. An artist friend of ours Xavier Bellante (aka Serrated Banana) is doing art that can be viewed differently in three different lights. We sent him a few demos of new songs we were working on. He chose one of the songs that inspired him - and he created a painting based on his feelings about the song. That painting is viewable in daylight, blacklight and in the dark.

I took those three paintings he made, and created three separate mixes of the song “Make Me Feel” that inspired me through his painting. His painting is going to be displayed in Dubai as part of a month long art show starting October 1st. We are super excited about this project! The three versions of our song will come out in October. The first on October 1st (Daylight mix), the second on October 9th (Blacklight mix) and the 3rd on October 16th (Glow in the dark mix) to coincide with the art show."

At this time, we’ve listened to all three mixes and it’s honestly so difficult to choose which one is best! So seeing as the Daylight mix is the only one out at this point, we’ll let you be the deciders and look for your ongoing feedback as to which you prefer as each release is rolled out.

As for the Daylight mix though, we absolutely loved it! It features the realness and originality that is one of our favorite parts of Keenwild’s discography. It’s real music with actual emotion attached to it, not to mention striking instrumentation that keeps you glued from start to finish. We don’t want to give away too much at this point, so let’s just say we highly recommend you listen for yourself. While you’re listening though, make sure to take mental notes so you can compare it to the versions releasing in the next couple weeks as well!
