Hazel & Eternuit collaborate on instant summer classic, "LIAR!"
An instant match made in musical heaven, Hazel and Eternuit have collaborated on one of our favorite summer songs yet, “LIAR!”. Do yourselves a huge favor and keep reading for our in-depth look at the track, as well as a background on these emerging artists.
Being signed to SoCal Records certainly has its perks if it’s going to result in the pure greatness that Hazel and Eternuit have just unleashed. Together they’ve just shared an instant classic and ultimately catchy hit titled “LIAR!” that is not only relatable, but one of the most danceable songs we’ve heard in quite some time. To put it bluntly, you’d seriously be missing out if you didn’t dive into this single immediately.
Taking the best parts and skills of each artist and effortlessly fusing them into one single seems like an easy task, but a whole lot of work went into the final product. With Eternuit on the production side of things, he’s crafted up an infinitely perfect blend of electropop, funk, and soul that would be an impressive instrumental just on its own. That little bass riff that features throughout the track is a straight up earworm that won’t be forgotten. On the vocals side, Hazel has explored new and compelling highs within her melody and lyrics, something that feels easy to replicate as a casual listener, but would be extraordinarily difficult to pull off without training.
In a song that’s all about cutting the liars from your life, they’ve managed to display a highly relatable message on top of a song that we know we’ll be bumping for years to come. If anything, it’s given us the motivation to go down the rabbit hole of each artist and do some extracurricular explorations. To be honest though, Hazel and Eternuit have been successful in their own right, but getting to discover them through a collaboration like this has been the real treat.
At just around three and a half minutes in runtime, this is the type of song we envision ourselves spinning over and over trying to chase the dragon of the original high it gave us. With so many positives to highlight, it would simply be an impossible task to list them all. With that being said though, we sincerely hope you jump into this song as soon as possible. Summer weather or not, this is going to be a year round listen, enjoy!
