While Gideon Foster has certainly been busy this year so far with the release of an EP titled Miles and Miles, as well as single releases, our focus here is on his stellar track “Money Don’t Lie”. As this was our introduction into the artist and his music, we’re confidently going to stay along for the ride because we instantly loved everything we heard. On a classic rock and roll song with grunge influence, Gideon has hit it out of the park.
At just a little over 3 minutes in complete run time, there legitimately is not a single negative or con we could point out here. Immediately as you dive in, the song gives off a feeling of upliftedness that doesn’t go away until the very final moments. You’ll notice quite quickly how commanding Gideon’s vocals are throughout the entirety of the listen; he's really taken control of the sound, but ultimately brought the focus on to what we think he does best.
With so much more music to dig into, it’s going to be a great time getting to hear the evolution of both Gideon Foster’s sound over the past year, plus a deep look into the lyricism and stories he’s been telling within the music. While there’s definitely a clear message and experience being told on “Money Don’t Lie”, we can’t wait to hop into Miles and MIles to see what the artist has been up to. “Dark Streets” is the most recently released single which we’re sure is a hidden gem as well.
