Falky let loose on pop punk-inspired single, "Dumb Out Of Luck"
Delivering a massive dose of energy and enthusiasm on their newest single “Dumb Out Of Luck”, Falky have nailed it on their latest effort. We’re loving this one! Read on for a closer look into the track, as well as a background on this emerging band.
Currently representing the music scene in Westchester, New York, Falky are an immensely talented group putting together an inspired mix of punk, rock, pop, and beyond. On their newest single titled “Dumb Out Of Luck”, right out of the gate they’ve led with an inventive instrumentation, unique vocal deliveries, and a chorus that will certainly have you singing by the end of your initial listen. Without a doubt, it’s both a band and a song that we highly recommend everyone out there get into immediately.
With an EP in the works and on the way, Falky’s mission is to experiment and branch out from what they’ve previously released. While we think it’ll most likely still have that signature sound and essence that “Dumb Out Of Luck” holds, there’s nothing stopping this group from pushing their personal boundaries and forming a niche that undoubtedly puts them into a genre of their own. Specifically on this newest song though, it clocks in at just under two and a half minutes, of which you’ll quickly find the band has held nothing back in the process. If our only real “criticism” of it is that we wish it was longer, then we suppose they’ve got a winner on their hands. It doesn’t take long for them to find their groove or to give the listener a peak into the greatness that’s about to come.
Now while we definitely felt like there were infinite positives to take from our listens, some major milestones were the vocals that give this track complexity and the high BPM approach that instantly gets you involved and interested in what's happening next. Every member gets their own individual moment to shine instrumentally, yet the cohesiveness shifts into this wall of sound effect that’s seriously hard to emulate. For something that we would most likely label “pop punk”, it’s brought such a necessary freshness into the mix, we sincerely cannot wait for further releases from Falky!
