Emmi Maaria shares an awe-inspiring single, "I move deeper wading into the waters"

Coming from Finnish singer, violist, and composer Emmi Maaria, she’s found the inspiration for “I move deeper wading into the waters” directly from an epic poem collection titled Kalevala. With her divine vocals at the helm leading the listener through a vibrant instrumentation that’s sure to send shivers down your spine, it’s a fully complete work that’s truly impressed us with each listen. We urge everyone out there to celebrate its release by giving it a proper listen.
Part of something larger for Emmi that’s going to result in additional works, she’s come hot out of the gate with something extremely special. On the background of this track though, ultimately it’s a poem that “describes the rawness of the Finnish nature and the determination and melancholy of the people”. She’s laid it out quite clearly within her detailed lyricism, but the fact that it’s sort of a reinterpretation gives her the ability to interpret it in her own way. If anything, it’s got us quite excited to dive deeper into these poems to learn a little more about something we were otherwise unfamiliar with.
Putting the message aside for just a moment though, Emmi really has shown off her strengths as an artist and composer in creating something so striking for a first song. It’s one thing to be able to professionally play an instrument, but her vocals are what will undoubtedly keep us coming back for more. The way that she’s played around in the range is something else and the atmospheric tones in the background to create a base only add to the overall allure of the song. We’re writing this one day prior to the song’s release, but sincerely cannot wait for everyone out there to get their ears on it. She’s gone the extra mile in thinking outside the box musically and the effort shows.
