Emilya Ndme unveils an over the top single, "Space and the Universe"
Making her return for her first single release since 2020, Emilya Ndme has come back in a big way on “Space and the Universe”. We’re loving it! Please read on for a closer look at the track, in addition to a background on this artist.
Currently based out of Genoa, Italy, the project of Emilya Ndme has come from the mastermind, Lauretta Grechi Galeno. Dedicated to the television series Dark, her latest song “Space and the Universe” is an atmospheric and sonic journey through a pulsating production and Emilya’s exotic vocals. As this was our introduction to her music as a whole, we didn’t quite know what to expect, however she’s sincerely blown us away with a song that challenged us as listeners. Plain and simple, we thoroughly enjoyed it, and we know you will too.
One of the wildest parts of this song’s production is that the artist actually pulled sound samples from Mars that were collected by NASA to merge with the beat and vocals. Truly, we’ve never heard of an artist doing anything remotely similar to this, but going to the next level has shown in the final product. Honestly, we found this song to be challenging in our first listen because of its density and non-traditional components. With that being said, listening to something like this that makes us go through it over and over to familiarize is exactly the type of music we profoundly love and appreciate.
As mentioned, this is Emilya’s first single release in a couple of years, but we hope that it’s not the last we’ll see from her in 2022. We really can’t overhype the complexity of “Space and the Universe” enough. It’s not often that we have lingering thoughts about a song so long after listening, but it’s really a composition that we’d love to see some sort of behind the scenes video. Harvesting sounds from an extraterrestrial world is one thing, but to infuse them into your music is pure genius.
