Eixo unveils his upbeat collaboration track, "Just Remember" featuring Ameria

Review by Austin Sher

Shared with the world officially on November 13th, 2020, Eixo is back with an energetic new single titled, “Just Remember” featuring Ameria. Read along with us for our full thoughts on the track, in addition to a brief bio on the artist as well.

For those who might not be familiar with the work of this artist, Eixo is an American songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer, born in Brazil. For Eixo, emotion in the song is everything. You’ll be able to hear it within his discography, but he is directly influenced by modern artists such as Phantogram, Lana Del Rey and Lorde, His production styles take after the likes of David Guetta, Zedd and Calvin Harris, who also team up with different singers to realize their musical vision. Eixo’s sound is full of references, such as Monarchy, Air, Portishead, K. Flay and CHVRCHES.

We got a chance to catch up with the artist prior to this review in which he let us know “Just Remember” says the words you’d want to hear from your best friend as you’re going through something hard. Additionally that the single was co-written with Ryan Innes (The Voice, Songland) and features vocals from the Hungarian sensation, Ameria.

Considering this was our first dive into the discography of Eixo, we can confidently say that it will not be our last. Music like this that continues to bend genres, feature on the rise artists, and stays true to the core of their influences is exactly what we like to see. In addition to that, the song is just fantastic from start to finish. Coming in at just a tad over three minutes in run time, there isn’t a second of filler.

Production wise, it just sounds beautiful overall. We’d highly recommend listening with a nice pair of headphones or sound system to get the full effects and intricacies that the artist is trying to get across. Paired with the stellar vocals of Ameria, they’ve quickly they’re a match made in heaven. The overall lush sound portrayed and executed in the sound is something that we’d love to hear a full album of. Obviously we’d never want to rush an artist, but more songs like these is exactly what we’re craving.

With this all being said though, we can now consider ourselves big fans of Eixo’s work, and we think you instantly will be too as soon as you listen. So what are you waiting for? Enough reading, time to get listening!
