Since Edalo’s debut album Faith released in 2015, this artist has continued to shape and shift his sound into something truly spectacular. With the help of Salvo on “Break Free”, the two have collaborated on legitimately one of our favorite summer songs so far. Born and raised in Buffalo, New York, Edalo is making the music that’s primed for a wild night out, we highly recommend you give a listen.
After being a part of so many projects dating back to 2012, Edalo’s musical stock has continued to rise year after year. Racking up a ton of streams and listeners throughout the course of his career thus far, we confidently think that with the return of live music, he’ll be headlining shows all over the globe soon enough. Specifically on “Break Free” though, we couldn’t have possibly had a better first impression than while listening. Jam packed with ethereal soundscapes, a punchy horns section, and serene vocals, it checked all of our boxes to be considered a great track.
Where we’re located at the moment, the weather is absurdly hot, but music and vibes like this are what’s lifting us up at the moment. We love collaboration songs just like this because you really get the best of both worlds when it comes to what each artist can bring. If you’re super in tune with both, you can even pick out the subtleties of who brought what to the table. For us, we can’t wait to continue our journey of not only listening to just “Break Free”, but assigning ourselves some musical homework to really get to know the full discographies of each artist.
