Through the power of social media and genuine connection, this collaboration between Duke Tha Dog and 2aminthemorning has come to fruition and we can confidently confirm it’s surpassed all expectations. It’s called “Made It” and has immediately served as something inspirational, crisp on the production, and a true masterclass through storytelling. Undoubtedly, we’re urging everyone to hit the play button as soon as possible.
Going back and forth through social media challenges, beat store purchases, and a healthy dose of collaboration, it seemingly feels as these two artists beat the odds to get this song completed. Just released on January 27th, 2023, it’s acting as a sequel to Duke Tha Dog’s song “Supposed To” dating all the way back to 2020. Lyrically speaking, both of these artists do an immense job of piecing the storyline together and reiterating the feel of “I’m coming for what’s due”. It can be extremely daunting with so much competition and the doubt that manifests, however the work ethic and sheer enthusiasm has certainly proved they’ve got what it takes to “make it”.
On so many collaborations nowadays though, a lot of them either feel one sided or like they’re missing a specific piece. With that being said though, each musician has focused intently on completing their vision and giving their best effort to completely break that mold. It’s a real treat in the sense that you get to experience the best of both worlds on the beat and vocal delivery end. Things feel organic, not rushed, and completely fresh from a Hip Hop standpoint. Considering so much of today’s music either feels recycled or rehashed, this legitimately gives us faith that both of their creative streaks have no end in sight.
