Davey Harris returns for an in-depth look into "Predictable" - Interview

Back at it again with an instantly catchy track he’s titled “Predictable”, we got another opportunity to speak with the man behind the music, Davey Harris. Please check out our latest interview below.

Staying consistent as ever between releases, but never afraid to push the boundaries of genre or style, Davey Harris’ newest work “Predictable” might just be his finest yet. With such a back catalogue of tracks waiting to be officially recorded, 39 to be exact, this one was next up in line and it’s delivered beyond expectations. It was only right we had Davey back onto the podcast to get a full understanding of what it’s all about.

Always focusing on a grand production that infuses psychedelic elements a la Tame Impala or Mac DeMarco, a guiding light has been his originality in which all of his songs released thus far hold. At the moment, “Predictable” is serving as his third overall single and we honestly feel it’s the most complex in terms of soundscapes and lyricism. Of course getting the story was extremely important to fully understand the headspace Davey was in when this was written nearly seven years ago, but it hasn’t deterred from a modern day release.

Through an inventive instrumentation and swirling background noise, the listener is going to have zero problem whatsoever finding themselves enthused by the backdrop. It feels as though each released song is somehow one-upping itself in all regards of sound, vocal delivery, and general awe. Since the moment “Predictable” was sent our way, it’s been on repeat for good reason, mainly for the fact that each time you listen it’s easy to pick out new memorable moments. From the opening featuring a recording of a French lady speaking fifty years ago and beyond, Davey always keeps the listener on his toes.

With all that being said though, Davey Harris’ shift from being in a band to going solo has proved fruitful thus far and we’re personally invested at this point to see how he evolves in the coming months and years. Of course we recommend you check out our conversation above, but all the important links can be found below in order to listen, follow along, and of course to stay tuned for plenty more dropping throughout 2022.
