With his second single release “Morning Love” being freshly released, we think the latest from Daric Carvajal might just be his best! Read on for our full featured review of the track, as well as a background on the artist as well.

Born in San Francisco, California, Daric Carvajal is an independent artist who is flawlessly blending up the best of atmospheric instrumental music wrapped in a Hip Hop beat that features his smooth flow. Drawing influences from Pop, R&B, Hip Hop, & Alternative music, he purposely adds in the best pieces of all to create his signature sound that we’ve quickly fallen in love with.

As more music continues to be shared, the gratefulness that Daric feels from family and friends has been pushing him to put out more. On “Morning Love” specifically though, the story is about lost love. According to Daric, “It is about someone we lost that we loved along the way to achieving one's goals. They're gone and wherever they're at now, I hope they hear this. Hoping that we've made an impact in each other's lives and are doing well on the other side.”

We’d be lying if we said this wasn’t extremely relatable to our personal lives, which sort of just makes the song hit harder in every way possible. Lyrically, the song is complex and shows extreme vulnerability from the artist. It’s incredibly commendable to tell a story like this, but the way that it’s all wrapped up in a warm production just makes for the complete package that is this single.

Now while it appears that Daric has four singles released to date, it wasn’t completely difficult for us to start at the beginning and run through them all. To no surprise at all, they’re all fantastic and audibly show the growth that he’s experiencing as an artist. You can feel and hear the changes, the maturity that’s come within the sound, and the base has been created for him to continue to prosper as a talented musician.

One of things that we loved the most about the song, minus the lyricism, was the ocean-like calm that was presented through the background. With a topic that is arguably super heavy, the production and tones here took it to another level of greatness. Truthfully, we’ll be counting down the days until we can hear more original music like this. We really hope you enjoy it!
