Daniel Angelus shares synth-fueled single, "More Than You Love Me"

Just shared not too long ago on August 10th, 2021, Daniel Angelus has got another big winner on his hands with the release of “More Than You Love Me”. Keep reading for our in-depth review of the track, as well as a background on this immensely talented artist.

Channeling a modern take on dream pop, and heavily influenced by the tones of the 80’s, Daniel Angelus has more than impressed with the release of his newest single, “More Than You Love Me”. Currently based out of England, this musician has taken quarantine and used it as a reinvention of himself in order to find his artistic identity. In our opinion, we’re loving the direction and he’s gone and can’t wait for all the readers to listen.

Slightly reminiscent of some of the greats like David Bowie and The Cure, Daniel has certainly imparted his own sense of style and originality into this synth-fueled single. On the background of the track, the song reverberates a message of a heartbreak which can definitely be heard within the lyricism. Daniel sings, “Cos you love him more than I love you, cos you love him more than you love me,” presents itself in front of harmonious backing vocals harboring undertones of grief and passion.

Speaking on the instrumentation and taking away the message for just a moment, that’s what immediately hooked us in. Feeling quite spacey and dreamy within its atmosphere, it’s not overtly difficult to get lost in the music in the best way. Synths swirled all around our headphones and the use of a lofi vocal presence really blended into the ambience of the whole song. To be perfectly honest, this was a fantastic representation of Daniel’s new sound and an even better introduction to an artist that we can’t wait to continue to cover.

Without giving too much else away, it should come as no surprise that this is a song and artist we’re highly recommending. At this point, you should go ahead and check out the links below where you can listen and follow along with everything that’s on the horizon. Keep a close eye for big things to come, but start off your journey with a listen of “More Than You Love Me”
