Chase's Place details his life's experience on debut album, "Spanish Living"

Inspired by personal experiences, Chase’s Place has just delivered an outstanding new record he’s aptly titled Spanish Living. We are loving it! Read on as we take a closer look into the record, as well as a background on this artist.

Born out of the genius from Finnish artist Chase’s Place, he’s gone above and beyond in creating a modern pop rock record called Spanish Living. Somehow managing to sum up a period of his life through lush soundscapes, silky vocals, and so much more, this album felt more to us like an adventure rather than just a standard listen. As this was our introduction to the artist, we didn’t know what to expect, but honestly he’s blown us away in his realm of songwriting and beyond. We are highly recommending you give it a listen from front to back.

Coming in at just 8 total songs that span right around 27 minutes in length, you’re immediately hit with a bright and airy instrumentation that actually embraces the feeling of “spanish living”. So the story goes on the background of this record, it “documents the eye-opening time that Chase's Place has spent in Spain since moving there”. Additional information and storylines stem from a long distance relationship he formed with a girl from New York and that classic summer love feeling. Honestly, it’s an all too relatable message for those who have had similar flings, however this artist has 100% kept himself in a vulnerable state as you connect the dots through his words. As we mentioned, it feels like an adventure through a stranger’s life, and you’re basically on pins and needles as the story plays out throughout the album.

Instrumentally speaking, that’s another major bright spot where we felt this album continued to stand out. It bridges the gap between that nostalgic 90’s singer songwriter feel, yet updates and modernizes for today’s audience. There’s something about his voice that gives off a warm and inviting feeling too, fitting in perfectly to the tone and vibe that Spanish Living gives off. Some our favorites were tracks like “Happiness” and “Sensitive Case”, but truly this record is best enjoyed uninterrupted from the beginning!
