Impressing again on his first single of the year and third overall, consider us megafans of Charles Pam’s latest, “Moving On”. Please keep reading for our full review of the track, in addition to an insight on this talented artist.

Soulful right from the get go, Charles Pam’s “Moving On” is a versatile listening experience that highlights the greatest parts of his artistry. Displaying his feelings about a relationship that is clearly at its end, but the two can’t seem to bring themselves to move on, the lyricism presented here is extremely relatable if you’ve been in the situation. Paired with an awe-inspiring instrumentation and Charles’ spirited vocal range, we can confidently claim this track a complete winner.

Centering the song around swirling synthesizers and thumping drum patterns, it’s hard to move past the instrumental being one of our favorite parts of the listen. Co-written with Charles’ friend Matthew England, with drum work from Berk Ilkic and Cem Tuncer on bass, the collaborators here have stopped at nothing to create a slice of pure beauty. Based out of Cambridge, Charles is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, and producer that’s utilized all of his many talents to put the finishing touches on “Moving On”, and clearly the end result is flawless.

With an album in the works and on the way, “Moving On” is a sneak preview into what we can only imagine is a record full of gems just like this. While it feels like there’s endless highs being hit, you have to appreciate the song for everything it brings to the table. Multiple listens will allow you to focus on different elements, but Charles’ vocals definitely serve as the constant and the forefront of it all. Even though this is just his third single of the bunch, it should go without saying that he’s playing to his strengths and you can’t help but recognize the immense talents. Honestly, there isn’t much else to say without spoiling, but we will urge everyone once again to give this track and the rest of Charles’ discography your full attention.
