Ceaser tones it down on R&B single & video for "Difference"
Lyrically empowering and giving the listener a glimpse into his life, Caesar has served up another memorable single, “Difference”. Read on for a closer look into the song, in addition to a background on this talented artist.
Currently based out of Brooklyn, New York, Caesar is an R&B artist who’s also infusing a ton of other elements and a deep production into his music. His latest single is called “Difference”, which also been given the music video treatment in which he brings his personal experiences to the big screen. Entirely self-produced on the music and video end by Ceaser, he’s laid it all out on the line for listeners everywhere to reflect with and enjoy.
From his days as a Soundcloud rapper and his inevitable genre switch from “high speed music” to something a bit more toned down, this artist is continuing to challenge himself through each subsequent release. Now that he’s amassed quite an impressive discography, it’s an absolute journey to go back and hear where he started and now where he’s ended up. However, like any great artist, there’s always going to be experimentation in terms of creativity and thinking outside of the box. Even on the songwriting end, his lyricism has improved massively and have shifted towards these truly heartfelt and intense ballads.
What we particularly enjoyed about this was its focus on imagery dense lyricism and his talent to paint a picture through music. Sure, the music video definitely helps the situation in visualizing, but even without it Cease has done an impeccable job in stringing lines together for a nice vibe too. Whether this is a permanent change in tone or mood, we’re not sure, but we’re welcoming it with open arms and hoping to hear more of an expansive look into R&B for the future. “Difference” is acting as something meaningful and powerful, but with glimmers of a playful production that provides a really impressive atmosphere too. Legitimately, we’ve got no negatives to point out!
