Bryce Evans inspires on explosive new single, "Grindstone"
Continuing his roll of stellar singles throughout 2022, Bryce Evans has made a swift return with another impassioned track, “Grindstone”. Please read on for a closer look at the music, in addition to a background on this emerging artist.
With an inspiring background to never give up on your dreams, especially when things aren’t working out or up to your expectations, Bryce Evans’ “Grindstone” is a slow burner that eventually erupts into a wall of sound. Truly, the more we’ve listened, the more we’ve enjoyed and uncovered the subtleties that lie in the deep mix. If this is your introduction to the artist, we’ve found this to be the ideal starting point in his quickly growing discography.
Considering that Bryce has been playing music for about 21 years, he’s clearly no stranger to the craft. However he’s really been releasing professionally over the past two years but is already proving to be quite prolific and focused in his releases. Specifically on “Grindstone”, although we’ve linked the lyricism to his personal story and rising the ranks through the music industry, ultimately the message could be found relatable in literally any industry. Unfortunately success doesn’t come overnight, but he’s projecting the optimistic message to keep your head down and grind it out through the tough moments. That’s 100% a vision we can back and one of our most positive takeaways from our multiple listens.
As for the instrumental side, he’s simply blown us away with his use of emotion and drama through the rising suspense of the song’s sound. We had a feeling in the beginning that “Grindstone” would explode with a killer ending, but what came across our headphones absolutely blew past our expectations. We’ll try to keep this spoiler free, but the payoff towards the end makes the first 75% much more impactful than anticipated. Featuring heavy drums that take control and Bryce’s vocals that expertly set the tone, we couldn’t find any passages here to critique or even make minor changes to.
