Bobby Blue debuts song and music video for single, "Go"
Freshly released this month, Bobby Blue is back with an all new single and music video for his latest track, “Go”. We’re loving it! Read along with us as we share our thoughts on the track, in addition to a background on the artist.
For those unaware, Bobby Blue is a queer, fun, and friendly New York City singer and songwriter inspired by his Costa Rican and American heritages. Playing a mix of his own originals as well as a fusion of American and Latin Folk, he is directly inspired by the likes of Pokey LaFarge, Orville Peck, and Hurray for Riff Raff. This newest music video for “Go” definitely shows the creative side of his work, and we absolutely loved it.
Having been involved in music since the age of four, you could’ve seen Bobby Blue singing, performing, or composing school plays, recitals, choirs, and so much more. Growing up around his mother’s love of Mexican music and father’s adornment of old country, it set the base for Bobby’s experimentation within his overall sound. With inspirations like the ones listed above, you’re getting bits and pieces of those, but a whole lot of originality from the artist himself.
On “Go” specifically, this 8 plus minute music video is a thrilling adventure for those who live experimentation in their music. Filled with robots, grand color schemes, fun dancing, and so much more, the video is an incredible display on top of a highly catchy single. While we don’t want to spoil too much, because we’d obviously prefer you watch for yourself, this is a great introduction to the artist if you haven’t been introduced already.
Our sincere hope for the reader here is that you immerse yourself into the universe of Bobby Blue. He’s approaching music in a way that a true artist does. There’s no apprehension for the type of music he’s making and there’s truly an outlet that anyone would be able to enjoy. If you liked “Go”, which you’re definitely going to, we highly recommend you do yourselves a favor and dig into the rest. There’s so much to unpack and discover, the rabbit hole of Bobby Blue is waiting.
With all that being said, “Go” was an extremely fun experience that we highly suggest you get into. We’ve done you the favor of putting all the necessary links below, including the video link, so that you can get into Bobby Blue as soon as possible. Enjoy!
