Betty Reed cranks it up on rocking single, "Without You"
Staying incredibly prolific throughout 2022, Betty Reed has treated listeners once again to a killer new track titled “Without You”. Read on for a closer look into the single, as well as a much needed update on the artist.
Following up the acoustic version of her EP Mistakes Made, Lessons Learned, Betty Reed has made a valiant return with something that embodies endless passion and emotion. Certainly the opposite of acoustic, her latest song “Without You” is an even blend of Pop, Rock, and even shows glimmers of punk throughout the listen. Like always, she’s effortlessly infusing an inspired instrumentation and drawing from personal experiences within the themes of the song. Without a doubt, we’re highly recommending all give it a spin.
Touching on the all too relatable subject of “people who you think would support you, but instead tear you down”, “Without You” is serving as a motivation to get out there and succeed in life to really prove the naysayers wrong. Sure, it might seem petty, but honestly the only person who can push you forward is the motivation that comes within. This track hits a little too close to home, but what we loved so much about it is the resounding attitude that Betty gives off through her vocal delivery. With so many genres presented, it’s got that signature pop punk essence to it that somehow props you up on the inside and keeps you going through the toughest times.
Putting the message aside though for a moment, sonically the track is immensely impressive. Having collaborated with Nashville producer Evan Redwine, these two collaborators 100% nailed every facet and illuminated their attention to detail from start to finish. In fact, they’ve got two more songs on the way getting ready to drop later this year, but that’s for another time. Anyway, another major highlight of our listen was how they perfectly balanced the highs, lows, and ideally timed pauses to evoke all the emotion out. Betty gets her moments to shine on the vocals obviously, but the instrumental break downs perpetuate the heart and soul of it all!
For now though while we patiently wait for more, go ahead and check out those links below to listen, follow along, and keep up with much more coming!
