Miami born singer and songwriter Alexa Lash has once again proved her talent with her latest EP, Heartbreak in Movements. This collection of songs has a sense of purity that is rare in the digitally-charged world of music today. With a focus on exemplary and innovative instrumentation plus its neverending raw emotion, Lash takes listeners on a journey through the major feelings associated with heartbreak. The EP is structured around five distinct movements, each one exploring a different aspect of heartbreak. From the disappointment and questioning of the opening track, to the release and reminiscence of the closing track, Lash covers the full spectrum of emotions that come with the end of a relationship. One of the standout aspects of the album has to be the instrumentation. The piano and strings were recorded in an open room, giving the music a natural and organic feel.
