Alex Dennis delivers lead single "No Secrets" off upcoming EP

Born in Bedfordshire, but now based in Milton Keynes, Alex Dennis is an incredibly talented singer and songwriter who’s been immersed in the world of music since the young age of 3. Starting out with piano which eventually led to his involvement in jazz bands and youth orchestras, he’s been on the straight path to creating his own original music for quite a while now. His latest, “No Secrets” is a complete gem and we highly recommend you listen.
After studying at the London College of Creative Media, he worked toward releasing his debut EP Dangerous Game in October of 2016. With this new release of “No Secrets”, it’s actually a peak into what’s next, which is another EP set to release in September 2021. If this song is any indication of the record, then consider us extremely excited for the full listening experience. We’ve quickly come to love this track and it’s been a joyous introduction to the artist.
As for the song itself, it feels like there were quite literally endless highlights for us. While Alex’s vocals certainly stood tall as the main standout, the entire package and production of the song was not far behind. The fact that he kept us guessing on which directions the song would go acted as a real positive, mainly considering that the song didn’t stick to one structure. The instrumentation side of things was fresh as can be and featured a nice diversity that wasn’t one note. Without giving too much away here, “No Secrets” felt like the perfect hybrid between a modern symphonic track and something we would’ve loved in the late 90’s. However you’d like to describe it for yourselves, just know that we loved it through our multiple listens.
Seeing as though Alex Dennis is gearing up for another big EP release, we have to confidently state that it’s going to be hard to top this song, but we’ll still be keeping close tabs as he continues to share.
