The 3 Most Underrated Artists at Ultra Music Festival Miami
As Ultra Music Festival Miami continues to peek its head around the corner coming just a couple months from now, of course we did a deep dive into 2023’s spectacular lineup to figure out who exactly is sneaking under the radar. Below you’ll find our picks of the 3 most underrated artists to grace the lineup and 3 artists we’re urging everyone to give a spin before the main event.
Becky Hill
Becky Hill has been way under the radar for nearly 10 years now when she originally got her start on The Voice UK. Since appearing on The Voice UK, versions of David Guetta's "She Wolf" and "Not Giving In" by Rudimental have been published, as have covers of Paolo Nutini's "Last Request" and Alex Clare's "Too Close". Hill featured on Rudimental's track "Powerless", taken from their debut album Home. She also provided cover for Ella Eyre's vocals for Rudimental's set at Glastonbury 2013, Bestival 2013, Wakestock 2013 and Lovebox 2013.
Now with a slot at Ultra Music Festival Miami coming up towards the end of March, it’s going to be interesting to see how she structures her set. WIll there be dancing, crowd interaction, or anything out of the ordinary? We’re not 100% sure, but with explosive vocals like her, there’s no doubt in our minds that she’s going to be bringing the heat in order to continue making a name for herself.
Lucas and Steve
Formed in 2010 and signed to Spinnin’ Records in 2014, there’s no doubt that people know exactly who Lucas and Steve are. However in the space of festivals, we truly think they’ve been overshadowed with some of the much bigger names that continue to appear. They have also done various remixes to songs by artists such as Felix Jaehn and Lost Frequencies, Showtek, and Laurent Wolf. Their productions include "Summer On You" in collaboration with Sam Feldt and Wulf, and also "Feel Alive" with Pep & Rash. His song "Calling On You" in collaboration with Jake Reese, debuted at number 40 on Billboard's Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart.
Syn Cole
Now here’s where we think the “underrated” slogan truly comes into play. For this Estonian DJ that has been steadily getting his name out there, 2023’s event is sure to shine bright for him as his live game continues to level up. In case you’re out of the loop on Syn Cole, Syn Cole started out on Avicii LE7ELS record label and management. His singles and remixes have amassed over 1 billion total streams on Youtube and Spotify. Syn Cole has also released music on record labels Universal, Sony, Warner, Spinnin' Records, Ultra Records, NCS and Martin Garrix STMPD RCRDS. In addition, clubs Ushuaia Ibiza, XS Las Vegas, Exchange LA and others.
He’s been around the world, but the next big horizon is going to be on how he manages to slay the stage at Ultra Music Festival Miami 2023. What’s in store, we’re not sure, but it’s going to be a total thrill ride to get to witness it.
