Jakob Nowell Leads Sublime at Pomona's No Values Festival

Hailing from Long Beach, California, the infamous Sublime, now with lead singer Jakob Nowell, brought a mix of energy and chill to the Mission Blvd stage. Coming off their successful re-debut as Sublime ( Previously Sublime with Rome) at Coachella, Sublime brought an almost nostalgic feeling with lead singer Jakob Nowell at the helm. Jakob, son of the late and original lead vocalist Bradley Nowell, captures the spirit of his father while adding his vocal personality to each iconic song.

The band opened up their set with “Date Rape,” providing the perfect amount of energy to the eager no values crowd. The Highlight of the set, however, was a cover of Bad Religion’s “We’re Only Gonna Die,” a drastic change of pace placed perfectly in the middle of their set. The band ended their time at No Values with arguably their most famous track, “Santeria,” a perfect sendoff to what was a great set from them.

Go ahead and relive the set below with a full photo gallery hopefully capturing the energy of what was an excellent and powerful show!
