FORMAT Festival 2023: Everything You Need To Know
Looking for a new and unique music festival experience? FORMAT Festival in Bentonville, Arkansas may have just what you’re looking for. Located in the Ozark region in Northwestern Arkansas, this festival is bringing the funk to a place not previously known for its artistic experiences.
Taking place September 22-24, FORMAT will have festival goers from around the world flocking to a place they likely have never been before. The acts compelling fans to make the trek include LCD Soundsystem, Little Simz, Alanis Morissette, Modest Mouse, Leon Bridges, and Tash Sultana to name a few.
FORMAT burst onto the scene in 2022 with a splashy lineup that included Phoenix, Fatboy Slim, Rüfüs Du Sol, and Khruangbin. Even attendees from larger markets couldn’t resist a slate of artists like that. A first year festival can be a bit of a dice roll for some, as parallels to the ill-fated FYRE Fest are inherently made. Particularly when it’s located on an airstrip in rural Arkansas. But, any expectations of a disaster were overshadowed by an otherworldly weekend of music and mind-bending art installations.
For 2023, the party moves to its new home at The Momentary, just a few miles from the event’s original site. Organizers say FORMAT will operate much the same as its first year. Attendees can expect the same commitment to showcasing international as well as regional Arkansas visual and performance artists.
