Summer Salt Play Sold Out Show at LA's Regent Theater

Downtown Los Angeles on Friday night and it's really starting to feel like summer time with the sweet melodic sound of Summer Salt. Back in LA with another sold out show, a brand new album, and the same dreamy, beachy indie rock sound. We urge everyone out there to check our full review and extensive photo gallery of the night below.

We saw Summer Salt last year in LA at The Roxy Theater in West Hollywood, but it's no surprise that this time around, the band played a much bigger venue at the Regent Theater downtown and completely sold it out.  Summer Salt released their new album, Campanita in May of this year and so this was the first time most of us had a chance to hear all of these new songs live.

The show was a great mix of classic Summer Salt with the opening track of “Candywrappers”, and a lot of other standout tracks from Campanita, our personal favorite being “Supermoon”.  In case you didn’t know, the band has two front men, Matt and Eugene. The stage setup with all 4 members in a straight line across the stage is very unique as well.  We thought it was great to have Eugene on the drums up in the front as he is such an exciting drummer to watch.  The show had a fun breezy vibe the whole night and we were so happy to catch some of the new tunes live for the first time after spending two months playing the album on repeat.

Summer Salt has shows lined up through the Western US through the rest of the month of July.  If you get a chance, go check them out! And even if you cant make it out to a show, check out Campanita, streaming everywhere!
