spill tab Brings Her Best During Iconic Set at LA's Greek Theatre

On April 20, 2023, fans flocked to the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, CA for Sabrina Carpenter’s sold out concert. Long before doors opened, fans lined up all the way down Vermont Ave, anxiously awaiting to enter the venue. Many fans were decked out in homemade merch, while others were wearing sparkly cowboy hats and heart shaped sunglasses.

Fans of all ages continued to file inside and the excited chatter grew louder as the show began to start. Claire Chicha, better known by her stage name, spill tab, was the first support act to take the stage. Even though barricade fans had been waiting all day in anticipation to see Sabrina Carpenter, they were still quiet and gave the artist the respect she deserved as she made her way through her setlist. The alt-pop singer-songwriter played a collection of her popular hits, a stripped down cover of Kelly Clarkson’s megahit, “Since U Been Gone,” as well her newest single, “Window.” She commanded the stage with ease, walking back and forth to each end and interacting with fans at the barricade throughout her set. Some of her songs that fans vibed and danced along to included “Grade A,” “Name,” and “CRÈME BRÛLÉE!” Spill tab’s vocal tone is undeniably unique, setting herself far apart from other artists of her genre.

The second support act was Blu DeTiger. Her breakthrough single “Figure It Out” took off during the 2020 quarantine and following the release of her debut Independent EP, How Did We Get Here?, she was signed to Capitol Records. Blu DeTiger has played some of the most popular festivals in the country, including Bonnaroo and Governors Ball. Her extraordinary bass skills are highly sought after and as a result, she has had the opportunity to play with artists such as Olivia Rodrigo, Bleachers, Dominic Fike, Caroline Polachek, Chromeo, Bleachers, and FLETCHER. Her performance at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, CA was her first solo performance for the Emails I Can’t Send Tour, as she is taking over the opener slot for the remainder of the run. She played several songs including “Hot Crush Lover,” “Cotton Candy Lemonade,” and of course her biggest hit, “Figure It Out.” Blu’s vocals matched with her bass skills are incomparable to any other musician I have seen, making her an artist I would want to see again and again!
