Blu DeTiger Sets the Night Ablaze at NY's Irving Plaza
There is nothing better than a hometown show on a Saturday night and on April 27 it was Blu DeTiger at Irving Plaza in New York City. It seemed like all of New York City was out to support Blu at her first show since winning being named on Forbes 30 Under 30 list and she definitely proved why she deserved to be on that list.
Blu DeTiger played through her discography, focusing on her new album, All I Ever Want Is Everything, which came out earlier this year in March. Blu kicked off the show with Intro to Everything and kept the energy going with Disappearing and Expensive Money. NYC got a special treat when Linux came out to feature on Expensive Money.
With her brother Rex backing her on drums, Blu and her band roared through other songs from her debut album such as Latency, Moxie and Imposter Syndrome. Blu also brought back some older fan favorites like Vintage and Blondes and even took a fan request to play Toast with the Butter (although the fans seemed to remember that one better than Blu did). Blu and her band closed out the show playing Overdrive as the encore.
Blu DeTiger proved drinking rockstar water pays off! Although All I Ever Want Is Tour is over, you can catch Blu this summer opening for Odeza in New York and LA and at Elsewhere, Shambhala and Lollapalooza festivals!
