The New Mutiny debut their heavy new single, "A Godless Promise Mechanism"

Released on July 31st, The New Mutiny have debuted the first song off their forthcoming EP, titled “A Godless Promise Mechanism”. Read along with us as we breakdown the track in its entirety, as well as provide a bit of background on the band as well.
Currently based out of Hampton Roads, Virginia, The New Mutiny are an original rock band that has been collectively making music together with their current line up for almost two years. In 2019, they released four songs that are available on all streaming outlets and Itunes. They played a handful of shows in 2019, both locally and regionally. Additionally, they were awarded Veer Magazine's Best Metal Band of the year (even though they aren't a metal band). If you end up liking this single, which you will, stay tuned because they plan to drop singles for the rest of the year.
The first thing we envisioned after listening to “A Godless Promise Mechanism” was just how incredible it’s going to be once we can witness The New Mutiny perform this song live. The immense amount of energy and musicianship displayed in just under four minutes was seriously impressive. The thought of head banging, moshing around, and singing along to this track at a live show gave us positive visions of a better future.
While i’m sure they had shows scheduled all throughout 2020, we do hope that once this upcoming EP is released in full, a tour will follow. You can bet that we’ll be there. What the world needs right now is a heavy dose of rock and roll, in which The New Mutiny absolutely delivered in full. From the opening chords to the opening vocals, our heart rates were pumping and we were rocking along with them. While this was our first foray into the band’s work, we immediately had to go into their back catalog and listen to what else they’ve put out. Turns out it’s all gold and absolutely deserves a listen from yourself.
In addition to releasing the song, they’ve also put out a music video (with lyrics displayed) that rocks hard as well. The visuals are breathtaking and form a narrative to the song and themes displayed. If you liked the song, you’re going to love the video! We’ve attached a link below for you to watch.
Overall, we really did enjoy what we heard, and are looking forward to the upcoming EP. Hopefully it’s coming sooner rather than later.
