Singer, songwriter, and professional dancer JANE has just let loose an all new music video for “Tell You” that simply highlights all of her talents as a multidimensional performer. While of course we’d recommend for you to listen to the song prior, the video on its own somehow amplifies an already emotion-filled and suspenseful song that we’ve quickly come to love. On the background of it all, “Tell You” is a “'self'-love song about rebounding from fragility and brokenness...a reminder that we always have an opportunity to pick up the pieces and put ourselves back together”. It’s quite apparent within the deep and complex vocals that JANE lays out, but without spoiling too much, the video provides this platform for those words to become a reality. The cinematography is stunning almost beyond words, but the visual aspect really begins to climax when the dancing begins. Paired with the strings section that could send shivers down your spine, it’s honestly been a while since a video has impacted us like this has.
Produced by Chloe Francke and directed by Evan Conner, all collaborators creating this must have had a vision in mind beforehand that they’ve now surpassed indefinitely. Prior to this we were actually unfamiliar with JANE’s work as a musician, but all it really took was something as powerful as this to not only create fans out of us, but to give the urge to do a deep exploration on the rest of her work. With soaring vocals like hers that present this seemingly endless range, they so effortlessly juxtapose the drama infused with “Tell You”. At this point, we can’t wait to see what her next move is.
