Having never witnessed Channel Tres in any live capacity before, he single handedly blew our minds and gained our respect after witnessing his greatness at Denver’s Mission Ballroom. Closing out his opening act stint with Thundercat on his latest tour had to have been a dream come true and we’re beyond thrilled that we had the opportunity to catch it live. Below you can find our full review and photo gallery of the night.

Now let us begin with an honest opening to basically let you know we don’t have much experience or knowledge with Channel Tres’ music. With that being said though, he really put on a memorable and energy boosting set that was 45 minutes of pure music bliss. What was basically an abridged DJ set that transformed itself into a Hip Hop show, ultimately became some of the most fun a single human can have.

Playing tracks off his 2018 EP Channel Tres and select hits off of i can’t go outside, the crowd was 100% into it. Switching between vibing out to the deep beats and dancing their asses off, we found the energy and mood of the set to be all over the place in the best way possible. As the time went on, the intensity picked up, and pretty much ended in Channel Tres dancing and rapping along to his own DJ creations. By the end of the night, the entirety of the Mission Ballroom was in pure ecstasy, whether they liked it or not.

Considering this was the last show of Thundercat and Channel Tres’ tour, we felt the energy in the room and the feeling of just how lucky each performer was to be up there playing to the crowd. It was even communicated in between songs by the artist. Not one person in that venue took it for granted and we truly felt lucky as well.

Going forward though, Channel Tres sincerely impressed us with his set, and we know for the 100% fact we’ll be exploring his discography further. It’s not often we become fans of someone based on a single concert, but things change, and this artist is for real.
