Zeta Zeroes delivers his long-awaited debut EP, "11:01"
What is basically the equivalent to a shot of adrenaline right into the senses, Zeta Zeroes’ debut EP 11:01 is a masterful work of punk artistry. Please do yourselves all a favor and keep reading for a closer look at the record, as well as a background on the artist.
From the mind of Washington D.C-based Bill R comes his solo project, Zeta Zeroes, that has just released one of the most powerful EP’s we’ve heard this year, 11:01. What were originally four instrumentals written over the last decade have finally gotten polished up with lyrics added and the final result is more impressive than we could have ever imagined. We sincerely can’t wait for everyone to hit the play button here, but you’re going to need to strap in for what’s undoubtedly going to be a wild ride.
Taking influence from some of the greats such as Sum 41, Rise Against, and plenty more, Zeta Zeroes has still managed to infuse so much personality and originality into this set of four tracks. Coming in at right around 11 minutes in length, our initial listen left us feeling energized, optimistic, and with the rare feeling like we could take over the world. Typically we’d recommend a song or two to sort of introduce yourself and know what to expect, but honestly you’d be doing yourself a serious disservice if you didn’t listen in full. “The New Influence” serves as the perfect introduction of what to expect, but the passion only rises from there on out.
Considering this was recorded and only received a little bit of help on the production side from Moon Machine, it just goes to show you how much talent and time was really invested for this positive outcome. Through screaming guitar solos, bombastic drum fills, and Bill’s dynamic vocal delivery and range, there’s truly no critique we could point out. Our only real suggestion if you could even call it that is please don’t make us wait another decade for more music to release. We understand that art takes time and focus, but this pure delivery of authentic punk rock is exactly the type of music we need in our lives.
