Yannon creates her own world on stunning new single, "the jester"

Just released on January 14th, 2021, Yannon has officially shared her second single, “the jester”, which we are absolutely thrilled about. Do yourselves a huge favor and read along for our full review, in addition to a background on the artist as well.
Currently based out of St. Louis, Yannon is a singer and songwriter who is currently making waves within the industry. Creating a world that is filled with soulful synthpop, jazzy breakdowns, and a breathtaking voice, we’re incredibly excited about what the artist’s future holds in terms of future music release.
With a self-titled debut album set to be released in early 2021, “the jester” is the perfect jumping off point for her future successes. Seeing as this was our first dive into the artist’s discography, we honestly didn’t really know what to expect. Having said that and built our initial impressions, we’re blown away with what we’ve heard on this short, yet emotionally packed single.
At only two and a half minutes in runtime, Yannon manages to create a world of her own. Immediately you’re thrown into a hand crafted atmosphere of relaxation from the production, but then quickly calmed and focused by listening to the artist’s smooth and soulful vocals. As synthpop lovers ourselves, our bar is usually a tad higher than other genres, but Yannon has surpassed it with just this song.
Looking back to 2020 though, it appears that she released her debut single, “Fall In”. To no surprise in the slightest, it’s equally as great. For an artist who’s blossoming in their career and finding their own sound, we’d have to say and reiterate that we really do like what we’re hearing. A full length album coming from the artist is something we didn’t know we needed in our lives, but are now craving in all the ways possible. With no exact release date on it just yet, we guess that just means a close eye will have to be had on where we can keep up with her future releases.
With that being said though, if it wasn’t already clear to you all, our recommendation and suggestion is for you to take the short amount of time out of your days and give this one multiple streams. Fall into the world of Yannon and let her enlighten and broaden your musical horizons. Enjoy!
