Xavier Bernazard shines bright on complex EP, "Anastasis"
Consider us beyond impressed with this all new EP titled Anastasis coming from Xavier Bernazard. Truly, our jaws were on the floor! Read on for our full featured review of the record, in addition to a background on the artist.
Having started to write and perform at the young age of 16 in his hometown of Caguas, Puerto Rico, Xavier Bernazard has been on the right path since in creating a lovely and original sound. On his EP Anastatis, which is Latin for resurrection, the artist has crafted stories about “coming back from a dark place in life and claiming your life once again”. Seriously, we can’t wait for everyone out there to get into this complete beauty.
Slightly reminiscent of music legends like My Chemical Romance, Evanescence, and Linkin Park, Xavier Bernazard has still brought a slew of originality and innovation to this fine piece of work. While it’s his stunning and complex vocals centered at the forefront of it all, we’ve got to shout out his talented bandmates as well who’ve completed the sound. With Adam McGrath on guitar, Nathan McCord on drums, Wes Dziedzic on keys, and Mitchel Jantzie on bass guitar, they also enlisted Nathan McCord to produce. All in all, and we can’t stress this enough, it’s a total gem of an EP.
Picking out a favorite song would honestly be a waste of time, mainly because each and every passionate track is in another realm of amazing. We would recommend going into the record with the idea of listening from start to finish as it is quite cohesive in its messaging and sound. You’re going to experience the full reality of expert songwriting, genius instrumentation, and a vocal delivery from Xavier that’s guaranteed to send happy shivers down your spine.
Without giving too much away here, we really do hope that our point has come across how high in regard we hold Anastasis. It’s got us beyond excited to see what else he puts out in the coming months and years, surely because there’s more to come from such a talented artist. No rush though, we totally understand how difficult music creation is!
