Consisting of three members including Chris Hurd (vocals, guitar, and songwriter), Brian Motel (bass and keys), and a rotating cast of drummers. Tucker Woods are an American rock and roll band that consistently deliver a raw and dynamic sound with an uplifting and youthful spirit to it. As far as musical influences go, you’ll be able to hear a sound quite reminiscent of Oasis, T. Rex, and The Who.

Currently based out of New York, the band is setting themself apart from the rest of the genre by pulling additional influence and sound from The Kinks, Tom Petty, and Foo Fighters. You may even hear a tad of The Beatles as well within their melodies and hooks. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish what we heard on this brand new song. It’s an eclectic mix of old and new with all the right parts pulled from each.

Opening up the track with a grand and classic mix of instruments, Tucker Woods seriously impressed on this single. If this is only a taste of what we’ll be getting on a full length album, consider us quite excited for that release. Looking back at their influences, we’d have to say that “Who Loves Ya, Baby?” is a mix of The Beatles for the melodies, Foo Fighters for the heavier rock sound, and The Who for all the overall delivery. Considering these are three of our favorite bands, it wasn’t difficult to like the song at all, in fact it was a serious treat to be introduced to the band in this fashion.

If you liked this song, which you definitely will, there’s also two B-Sides that were featured on the single, “Cross The Bridge” and “Sleepwalker”. Both equally fantastic and absolutely deserve a spot on the album if there happens to be room. Overall though, we’re happy beyond belief that Tucker Woods came to us when they did, because now we can see we were fans at the beginning of their reign. Look out world, big things are coming!
