Thilo continues to innovate on his latest EP, "RUN RUN"
An impressive dose of lyrical storytelling on top of stellar production, we’re loving everything about Thilo’s latest EP, RUN RUN. Keep reading for a closer look into the album, in addition to a much needed background on this talented artist.
Following up the critical success of his last EP Intro:W, Thilo has made his way back into 2022 after slowly teasing singles along the way. Finally though, his newest EP RUN RUN has been delivered and it’s fully capitalized off of everything he did correctly previously. Improving the production, perfecting his flow, and so many more intricacies are what you’ll find through your first listen. Of course, we are highly recommending all give this one a spin.
Currently based out of Berlin, Germany, Thilo is a multi-talented recording artist who simply puts his heart and soul into everything he makes. Coming in at 6 total tracks, RUN RUN is absolutely jam-packed with lyrical prowess that “ explores recurring themes of reflection, personal growth, and romantic adolescence while also capturing the tension of a generation still yearning for something substantial”. He’s essentially summed up what millions of people globally are feeling, but added the obvious artistic abilities and signature touch through the process.
Through our initial listen, we instantly felt just how cohesive the EP really is. Putting the message of it all aside for just a moment, the way that Thilo has somehow crafted a real signature feeling and emotion through six songs is no easy task. Although certain songs like “FLIGHT RISK” or the opener “CHAMPIONS” do have their own particular feel and playlist capabilities, there’s still no doubt in our mind that this EP was created with a vision in mind. There’s enough divergence in each song’s atmosphere to keep things feeling fresh, however that doesn’t stop the feeling of immersion which we completely love when embarking on a full record no matter the length.
You even have to make some comparisons to Intro:W which was great, but this definitely feels like the future of where Thilo is headed on subsequent releases.
