The Romance deliver an arena-ready debut single, "The Same Escape"

Released officially on January 5th, 2021, The Romance have officially shared their debut single, “The Same Escape”. We are loving it! Read along with us for our full detailed review of the track.
New Jersey native and now Los Angeles based artist, Cody Hoffman, is the mastermind behind this all new project, The Romance. Featuring an eclectic mix of genres jam packed in this near four minute debut, we’re incredibly excited to see what’s in store. According to the artist, there’s more to come this year, so get ready.
While we don’t want to give too much away, because we’d prefer you listened for yourself, we were truly taken aback after our first complete listen. With an incredibly strong vocal opening that slowly transitioned into a wall of orchestral instruments, it immediately drew the thought of this would be an incredible song to be witnessed live, especially in an arena setting.
Almost bordering on pop punk in some sections of the track, we really do mean it when we say there were a handful of different genres presented here. The atmosphere and overall vibe created was filled with energy, hope, and excitement. Even if you had taken away the vocals, this would still be a fantastic instrumental track on its own. The big booming drums, subtle bass lines, and the violin arrangements made for something special.
Now while we loved the background, there’s no way we could get through a review without mentioning Cody’s killer vocals. RIght from the start, he’s lured you in with the mystery of the sound and the story he’s delivering and really doesn’t let the listener loose until the final seconds. It was clutching to say the least.
For a debut single, Cody’s project The Romance is really something else. There were enough ideas presented on just one song that has got us really excited for whatever else is to come. As mentioned, there’s more on the way in 2021, so stay tuned!
