The Passing Sages get funky on single, "Crisis On The Dancefloor"
Cranking it up with a sweet piece of funk fusion, The Passing Sages are back with a total hit titled “Crisis On The Dancefloor”. Please read on for our full review of the track, as well as a background on the band.
Made up of six individually talented musicians, these UK-based rockers that go by The Passing Sages have churned out a groovy masterpiece called “Crisis On The Dancefloor”. Perfectly primed to get dancing along to, it’s almost as if they transported us back to the mid-80’s in the span of only three minutes. We loved this song and we confidently think everyone out there is going to feel the exact same.
Officially getting released on February 18th, 2022, we were lucky enough to get a sneak preview of their newest work. In order to fully comprehend where their sound has taken them, we did a deep dive on their discography thus far. This feels like the ideal evolution of their sound, but with an immensely improved production. Not to mention, the lead singers’ vocals really provide that raw love and emotion that you hope comes from any type of music, however there was a certain sparkle that she holds when delivering each line.
Jam packed with energy and brimming with attitude, we couldn’t help but feel just how well this particular song would translate in a live setting. Paired with a bumping bass right from the get go and a series of distorted guitars, it’s become a new dream to witness the greatness of The Passing Sages. Our hope is they head to Los Angeles one of these days for a show, but we may just have to go to them if that doesn’t pan out.
Seeing as though this appears to be their first major release since 2020, it’s already looking like 2022 is shaping up to be their best year yet. Capitalizing off of this pop-centric single is going to be a must, but we’ve got no doubt everyone who hits the play button is going to be astounded.
