In case you forgot, we recently reviewed The New Mutiny’s previously released singles, “Narcissist”, “A Godless Promise Mechanism”, and “Echo Of You”. Thankfully the band are back with more on an all new EP that’s featuring more new tracks as well. This Hampton Roads metal band are ready to tear it up once again and we’re thrilled you all get the opportunity to listen.

At 5 songs in length, there truly is not a dull moment or sequence on the full listen. For the faint of heart, this isn’t for you, this is for those looking to explore, experiment, and have a good time. If that sounds like you, then read on! Seriously though, these talented group of guys have put their hearts and souls into creating music that they love and that we think all will enjoy.

In particular, there isn’t a specific instrument or vocal passage that overpowers anything else. Everything is evenly mixed so that you’re getting everything in your face and ears all at once. Featuring their signature shredding riffs, powerful drumming, crafty bass lines, and the unforgettable vocals, it all shines incredibly bright.

We’ve mentioned in the past that metal, or hard rock in general, hasn’t always been our preferred type of listen. With that being said though, we’ve changed our tune and perspectives as we’ve continued to listen. In general, it’s music that isn’t for everyone, but an open minded person who can grasp music theory will absolutely enjoy. It’s an art form and The New Mutiny are perfecting it release after release. While this EP obviously just came out, we’re always looking forward to whatever else they’ve got lined up to be released. We’ll be listening.

Specifically though, it would be quite difficult to go on and pick a favorite from the EP. That’s a debate for the listener to have with themselves. We’ll just go ahead and highly recommend and suggest that you give it a cohesive listen from start to finish, as it was intended. Give it a chance, and once you’re done, dig into their other discography as well, it’s gold.

Wrapping it up though, we’ve loved seeing the evolution of this band and we’re happily waiting for more and more to see the light of day. So far all things The New Mutiny, to listen, and to keep up with all future releases and information, please check out the following links below.
