The New Mutiny come roaring back with another impressive single, "Echo of You"

The New Mutiny have come roaring back with yet another impressive single, titled “Echo Of You”. Do yourself a favor and read along with us for our full review of the track, in addition to a refresher on the background of the band.
You may remember our coverage of The New Mutiny’s killer single, “A Godless Promise Mechanism” that we published back in August. Well if you don’t, and this happens to be your first foray into the band’s music, you’ve discovered them at the perfect time! Before we get into it, we’d love to give you a quick refresher on their project.
Currently based out of Hampton Roads, Virginia, The New Mutiny are an original rock band that has been collectively making music together with their current line up for almost two years. In 2019, they released four songs that are available on all streaming outlets and Itunes. They played a handful of shows in 2019, both locally and regionally. Additionally, they were awarded Veer Magazine's Best Metal Band of the year (even though they aren't a metal band). If you end up liking this single, which you will, stay tuned because they plan to drop singles for the rest of the year.
Now that we’ve brought you up to speed, time to get into “Echo of You”. As if we weren’t impressed enough by their last release, The New Mutiny have done it again and blown our expectations out of the water. If we didn’t make ourselves clear on our last review, this genre of music isn’t our personal favorites, however the way in which they’ve laid the groundwork for this single makes it unbelievably difficult not to rock out to. By 30 seconds in, you’ll be gritting your teeth, banging your head around, and showing off your most impressive air guitar skills.
Filled with crunchy guitar, heavy yet approachable vocals, inventive basslines, and booming drums, “Echo Of You” checks all the boxes for us. Seeing that the band still has more on the way for the rest of 2020, we can definitely say we’re quite excited to see what else is in store. Although a full record would be nice, getting these almost monthly singles is such a nice thing to see as it keeps the sounds fresh and you don’t quite get burned out on individual songs. I suppose that really depends how heavily you’re replaying them though!
Either way, The New Mutiny keeps it as fresh as can be and we truly can’t wait for more. With all this being said, we highly recommend and encourage you to take the time and listen!
