The Isolated Brigade blend old with the new on rocking debut, "Murmurs of a Mellow Mind"

Officially released today on November 20th, 2020, The Isolated Brigade have shared their debut single, “Murmurs of a Mellow Mind”. Read along with us as we break down our complete thoughts on the track.
Drawing upon themes from their respective musical influences, The Isolated Brigade are advocates for a life of individualism, within a world of conformity. They actively choose to face reality when confronted with fantasy. As detailed in their overall sound, it’s pure and inspired music at its base, but the love from this trio of bandmates certainly has shown through from start to finish.
Well, our first impressions of the first ever released track from the group is that these guys are the real deal. Based out of Chicago, Illinois, one of our immediate first thoughts was can the pandemic please be over so we can witness this in person? As much as we’re missing live music at the moment, we’re still unbelievably proud of artists and bands who trudge forward, especially to release music to the world for the first time. So this is no difference, we’re proud to be reviewing, and we’re happy that the music lives up to our expectations.
So without giving too much away, the song absolute rocks. It’s got that classic garage rock revival sound, booming bass lines, and a classic indie rock vocal presence to it. If this is the type of music a band in its early years is putting out as a debut, then let us hopefully be the first to say that we’re quite excited for what’s in store in the coming months. We don’t want to give too much away, but if you like this, there may just be more on the way sooner than you think.
