Sophia Salcido pens another winning single on "Lonely With You"
Having an inspiring year worth of incredible single releases, Sophia Salcido has made her return once again with a new one, “Lonely With You”. We are loving this! Do yourselves a favor and read on for a closer look at the track, as well as an update on the artist.
Nearly a year since our last review of Sophia Salcido’s “Everywhere” and we can audibly hear the immense amount of growth she’s made in all facets of her music. Not to discount anything else, but nearly immediately her newest song “Lonely With You” gripped us with its intense emotion, euphoric vocal delivery, and so much more. If this happens to be your introduction to her music as a whole, we’ve found this to be an ideal jumping off point to explore the rest of her hidden gems.
Currently based out of Nashville, as mentioned, Sophia has been on an absolute tear in 2022 releasing almost an album’s worth of singles. Though she’s young in her age, she’s already carrying herself as if she’s been doing this for 10+ years professionally. On our initial listen, she instantly pulled us in with those coveted powerhouse vocals that barely even need an instrumentation in the background to hold one’s attention. Although on “Lonely With You”, she’s backed up a wonderful band, producer, and co-writers Eric McCaffrey and Sarah Morey. With help from P.T. Houston putting his final touches into the mix, the end result is a literal thing of joy, something we’ve already come back to many times since it was sent over.
Mirroring the rest of her music, she continues on in creating these well rounded tracks that hold more meaning and personal experience. A focal point is always on the songwriting, and in this case it’s another perfect display of how to accurately tell a story with vivid lyrics. It’s almost as if you’re playing a music video in your head as you follow along with what’s actually happening. Through three solid minutes, truly nothing else matters in the world besides the music that’s coming through the speakers. Once again, we’re urging everyone out there to click the play button.
