soooshimi explains her sound on electrifying single, "COME OUT AND PLAY!" - Interview
Hot off the release of her newest collaboration single, soooshimi dropped in for a full interview to discuss the background of “COME OUT AND PLAY!”. Check out our full interview with the artist below.
At only 16 years old, it’s instantly wild to find out just how talented and diverse the music of soooshimi really is. With the help of RomancePlanet on their newest single, “COME OUT AND PLAY!”, the two have perfectly executed that mid-2000’s MySpace electronic sound. Paired with fierce lyricism and a seriously powerful production, this is easily one of the more memorable songs we’ve heard in quite some time. Of course we’ve got to overwhelmingly recommend everyone give it a listen as soon as possible.
After experiencing some extremely difficult times over the past few years, we’re beyond thrilled that soooshimi was able to find a safety net in music that allowed for her to move on. Taking that internal darkness and turning it into beautiful music is never easy, but the music that has come out of it is pure gold. So much of what we love about her music as a whole is the daring chances she’s taking in terms of genre. Chances are, you’re never going to hear the same song twice, which in today’s music world is quite rare.
Speaking on “COME OUT AND PLAY!” though, at just a little over two minutes in length, the song takes you on a sonic journey through infinite rhythms, well placed screams, and a whole lot of energy for repeated listens. Without spoiling too much, just take our recommendation and don’t miss out on a song that sounds like nothing you’ve ever heard.
Lastly, we urge everyone to check out our conversation with the artist as well. While we definitely had some Wi-Fi struggles here and there, the discussion was still fantastic and is not to be missed. Additionally, we’ve included all the important links to listen, follow along, and to stay tuned for whatever else is on the way. Enjoy!
